Who are We
Power of Love Global Ministries is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit Christian organization, located in Gaithersburg, Maryland whose vision is to share God's love globally to those who are hurting and in need. Our mission is to help people throughout the world reach their destiny by ministering God's true love through worship, prayer, healing, and hope. As the Word of God is taught and preached, miracles, signs and wonders follow.

What we Do
Power of Love Global Ministries seeks to advance the Kingdom of God through the preaching, teaching and edifying revelation of God's Written Word and Eternal Gospel. Whether it be locally in our neighborhood or globally in the nations of the world, we remain faithful to the cause of Christ with our commitment to serve and to minister the Kingdom of Light through faith to every tribe, tongue and nation (Revelation 14:6). We take seriously and to heart his instructions to lift up His name so He can draw all people unto himself (John 3:14-15, John 12:32).
With the mandate to make his name known (Psalm 105), God has promised to heal the land (2 Chronicles 7:14), to save and heal us individually and corporately (Psalm 103) and to lead us to freedom (Ephesians 1:1-11). He is for us and not against us (John 3:16-17). It is with great resolve that we bear with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit and bond of peace with one another and those all around the world (Ephesians 4:1-6).
Power of Love Global Ministries is a prophetic ministry that releases the river of God wherever they go to all that they are sent (Psalm 46:4). They minister on the streets, in conferences, women's meetings and have a mentoring program that reaches into the lives of every age group.
Meet Our Founder & Pastor - Valerie Ricardo
In 1990 and at age 29, Valerie had a true to life radical encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. Tremendously changed from that encounter, Valerie began to intently pursue the things of faith. Falling absolutely in love with her Savior, she set her heart to please him and to bring him glory.
Soon after her salvation, God revealed that he would use her in a way she never thought possible - to bring the miracles to many who were handicapped and those afflicted trauma and by illness. Knowing that she was going to need all of God to be the person of faith he was calling her to be, she began to set her mind on things above (Col 3:2) pursuing Him for himself while learning everything she possibly could about Him and becoming a student of the Word. Valerie allowed the Lord of Glory to transform her (Romans 12:1-2) spirit, mind and body. Through passionately pursuing Him and surrendering to His will, she developed a very strong intimate relationship and bond with the One who saves and brings freedom to all people. She has never stopped encountering the One she loves and has learned how to bring heavenly encounters to people all over the world. As a revivalist, she is a mentor to many and is known throughout her community as one who carries the glorious presence and power of the Lord. Many lives have been changed as a result of her calling and commitment.
Pastor Valerie is prophetic intercessor and seer, and a carrier of God's presence, power and glory. She is a gifted teacher and keynote conference speaker. Valerie has a passion for all people of all ages to know God as they are known by God, for them to receive their healing through his great supply (Phil 4:19) and for them to be brought into the glorious freedom that was made available to them through the power of the cross and the torn veil of separation giving all for access to God. She releases the Fire Glory and Revival wherever she goes.

Lana Agan
Vice President
Lana is an instructional leader and a bright light to all who know her! She takes an interest in people from all walks of life and from many different cultures and is a huge help to many. Lana happens to be naturally genuine, warm, generous and exhibits a joyful and fun disposition at all times. She is a breath of fresh air! Lana is an avid student of the scriptures and enjoys several different group Bible studies. She loves meeting new people!
Lana is pursuing her destiny, has an earnest desire to learn everything she can about the LORD and seeks please Him and bring Him glory. We are extremely grateful for her insight and ideas which we continue to welcome and incorporate. She is such an addition to Power of Love Global Ministries and are extremely grateful that she is Vice-President of this ministry.
Lana is married, has two children, a dog named Yukon and loves to fish!
Linda Hembry
Board of Directors
​Linda Hembry has over 20 years of experience of nonprofit program management, training, and resource development. Her experience managing multi-million dollar human service and economic development projects and programs has helped her to develop sound financial and administrative strategies, which has helped more than 100 nonprofits and small businesses obtain over 12 million in grants, access to capital, and operate more efficiently. After working at the national level for two major nonprofit organizations, as Program and Division Director, in 2015, Ms. Hembry became an independent Organizational Development Consultant. In addition to her consulting, she operates a funding resource and development company, called Money for Ministry, where she helps individuals and organizations find funding and resources to advance projects and programs related to Christian missions. She has obtained several specialized nonprofit training and development certifications. She is completing a BA in Management Studies at University of Maryland Global Campus, where she is currently enrolled. Linda's love for winning souls for Christ and spreading the love of God drew her to Power of Love to fulfill God's mandate of evangelism and sharing God's love in tangible ways.
Kim Berger
Board Secretary/Treasurer
Kim Berger was born and raised in Rockville, Maryland. She graduated from Montgomery College. In 2006,
Kim met Founder, Valarie Ricardo and became a born again believer. As a new Christian, Kim began a journey of learning to love and be in relationship with the Lord, which she continues today. She has a passion for Bible Study and has led many groups. Having a huge heart for the suffering, Kim immediately obeyed the Lord to feed impoverished families in her community through her own ministry of Fish and Loaves. Further, God has blessed Kim with the gift of organization and administration which aids her in all that she does to serve the Lord. She is a faithful friend, powerful intercessor and a team player.
With Kim's love and commitment to God and to others with her combined attributes and a nack for financial detail, Kim makes the perfect board member to serve as Treasurer for Power of Love Global Ministries.
